Modern assessment centres are currently oriented towards a trimodal diagnostic approach; this is based upon the 3 aspects of tests, work samples and biographical indicators. (Source: Schuler in "Wirtschafts-Psychologie aktuell 2/2007")
The CStesting unit is also broken down into three areas in keeping with the trimodal approach:
- Registration of personality-consistent characteristics, in order to acquire time-stable individual data that permits interpretation beyond the direct working environment itself.
- Test content that uses realistic simulation to illustrate the working procedure as accurately as possible. This enables a qualified statement to be made regarding the working behaviour within the foreseen working environment.
- Biographical exploration in order to acquire a prognosis of future behaviour from results and findings acquired in the past.
